Why choose Hager turning lathes instead of cheap imported products?
- More than 45 years of experience building turning lathes
- Continuous improvement
- Innovative technology
- Compatible with all accessory devices
- Vast range of accessories
- Compliance of the DIN Standard with dimensions in mm (no inch dimensions like import products from the Far East)
- Entire production in Germany
- Family-owned company
- Price-quality ratio
- High quality motor for continuous operation (S1)
- High quality electronics (brand: Getriebebau NORD)
- Precision (lathe bed, headstock alignment to tailstock, …)
- Simple handling of operating equipment (eccentric lever operation)
- Stable, thick-walled underframe in ergonomic, vibration-reducing inclined design
- High-quality paint
- High-quality surface protection of steel parts by high-quality browning
- Adaption to existing turning lathes
- Competent advice and quick service
- Spare part guarantee and use of standard DIN parts
Disadvantage of cheap import products:
- Precision of the spindle alignment (also when swinging back the headstock)
- Precision of the lathe bed (tailstock is loose)
- Adapter solutions – no direct thread M33DIN800 – therefore loss of stability and accuracy
- Cheap motors, no continuous operation
- Torque very low from the beginning – the machine can be stopped easily
- Handling when turning headstock
- Handling hand rest – corners and pinches with chips
- Hand rest: high installation loss and low holding force of the hand rest clamps (for e.g. the use of broad hand rests or duplicators)
- Short centre sleeve travel and often slight incline – drilling will take a long time
- Special bearing in the headstock (no standard bearing)
- Replacement parts from the Far East – long lead times
- No extension opportunities
- No special solutions
